2023 Ram 1500

You can choose the 2023 Ram 1500 in Tradesman, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, Limited, and TRX trim levels. The first two trims offer a quad cab or the spacious crew cab that's standard for other models. The workhorse Tradesman model features quad headlights, daytime running lights, 18-inch steel wheels, heated power mirrors, cargo lights, an LED hitch light, and a rear bumper step.

Step up to the Big Horn for fog lights and alloy wheels, while the Rebel gets LED lights and extra off-road features. The Laramie adds mirror turn signals, and the Longhorn offers side steps, 20-inch wheels, a spray-in bed liner, and LED bed lights. Limited models add power-deployable running boards. The rugged TRX has specialized high-performance off-road features.

Standard power for the Ram 1500 comes from a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with the eTorque mild hybrid system. It delivers 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Most models offer the option of a 5.7-liter V-8 eTorque engine that makes 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.

You can also opt for a 260-horsepower 3.0-liter V-6 EcoDiesel that generates 480 pound-feet of torque. The TRX comes with a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that pumps out 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. All engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Depending on your truck's configuration, the Ram 1500 has a payload of up to 2,300 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 12,750 pounds. Four-wheel drive is standard on the TRX and optional for other trims. The off-road specialist TRX features lifted suspension, adaptive shocks, and an electronic locking rear differential and can take you from zero to 60 mph in five seconds.

Inside, the Tradesman trim has durable vinyl seats, air conditioning, and an infotainment system with voice recognition, Bluetooth, and a 5-inch touch screen. Big Horn models offer cloth seats, a leather-bound steering wheel, and new for 2023, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.

Go with the Laramie for leather upholstery, heated and cooled power-adjustable front seats, driver memory functions, dual-zone automatic temperature control, smartphone compatibility, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and an 8.4-inch touch screen. The Longhorn gives you heated and reclining rear seats, while the Limited features unique leather upholstery and trim, a wireless charger, and a 12-inch touch screen.

The Ram 1500 features electronic stability control, traction control, electronic roll mitigation, hill start assist, and trailer sway damping. It also comes standard with a backup camera, a rear seat reminder, and a tire pressure monitoring display.

Depending on the trim, available driver assistance technologies include a blind-spot monitor, cross-traffic alert, forward collision mitigation, lane keeping assistance, and front and rear parking assist. Limited models offer the new Emergency Vehicle Alert System. Maneuvering a trailer is simple with the available trailer reverse steering control system.
