The 2023 Jeep Wrangler is a midsize SUV in two-door and four-door configurations. Jeep refers to the latter option as the Wrangler Unlimited and sells it in four primary trim levels: Sport, Rubicon, Sahara, and Rubicon 392. The two-door version is only available in the Sport and Rubicon trims, although Jeep offers a few sub-trims of the Sport version: Willys Sport, Sport S, Willys, and High Altitude. Stepping up to the Sahara trim adds larger 18-inch wheels and body-color accents. The four-door Rubicon 392 sits a bit higher with a 2-inch suspension lift and boasts LED headlights, a three-piece hardtop, high-performance brakes, and FOX shock absorbers.

The standard engine in most Jeep Wrangler models is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that delivers 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It works with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. The next option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. You can also opt for a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6 engine that puts out 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque.

The Rubicon 392 trim vehicle has a 6.4-liter V-8 engine that pumps out 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Finally, Jeep introduced a plug-in hybrid powertrain called the 4xe. It's offered on the Rubicon and Sahara trims and produces 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.

The 2023 Jeep Wrangler is a true beast on rugged terrain, especially when equipped with all-terrain tires and upgraded components. But even in everyday driving conditions, this SUV doesn't disappoint, thanks to its responsive brake system and powerful engine options. If you plan to tow, this model can handle up to 3,500 pounds when equipped with the trailer towing package.

The Sport trim has basic features like cloth upholstery, crank windows, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. With the Sport S trim, upgrades include manual climate control and power accessories, but the Sahara trim is more luxurious with automatic climate control, a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, and navigation. Choose the Rubicon 392 trim to get a premium Alpine audio system, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and a heated steering wheel.

All 2023 Jeep Wrangler models come with airbags throughout the cabin, traction and stability control, a rearview camera, and anti-lock brakes. If you opt for the top Rubicon 392 trim, your SUV will also come with forward-collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Jeep offers a forward-facing camera as a standalone option.
