2023 Jeep Renegade

The entry-level Renegade is now the Latitude. It comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, tinted rear glass, and keyless entry. The Limited adds 18-inch wheels and automatic windshield wipers. If you step up to the Trailhawk you'll get a matte black hood decal, a full-size spare tire, underbody skid plates, and a raised suspension. The Trailhawk also has front and rear tow hooks, all-terrain tires, and the option for LED headlights. Adding the Trailer Tow Group to the Trailhawk gets you a Class III tow hitch, and four-pin wiring harnesses.

All Renegade models get power from a 1.3-liter four-cylinder gas engine that develops 177 horsepower. It uses Jeep's nine-speed automatic transmission, and all but the Trailhawk have all-wheel drive. The Trailhawk is more off-road ready with an upgraded four-wheel-drive system.

The Renegade shines whether you drive it in the city or on the trails. Its small size makes it easy to maneuver in tight spaces, and when the pavement ends, this little SUV has a four-wheel-drive system to tackle rough terrain. The Trailhawk even has a rock mode. When equipped with the tow package, the Renegade can tow up to 2,000 pounds.

There's room for up to five people in the Renegade, and because of the high roofline, it feels spacious in the cabin. The Latitude has cloth upholstery and offers the option for a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and a split folding rear seat. Step up to the Limited for leather upholstery, and you'll also get the optional features from the Altitude as standard equipment. The Trailhawk comes with cloth upholstery but offers leather as an option, and it includes heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

Technology in the Renegade starts with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, the Uconnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, and a six-speaker stereo. Satellite radio also comes standard, along with USB ports for the rear seat passengers. Additionally, a nine-speaker Kenwood stereo and 115-volt power outlet are available for the Latitude.

Every 2023 Renegade comes with advanced safety systems. These include a forward collision warning system with automatic braking, lane-departure warning with mitigation, trailer sway control, and a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-path detection. The Limited offers the Luxury Group Package with adaptive cruise control, an automated parking system, and rear parking sensors. This optional group also comes with a rear automatic braking system that will apply the brakes when it senses an imminent collision with something behind the Renegade.
