2023 Dodge Challenger
The Dodge Challenger keeps its old-school muscle car presence with straight-line power and classic looks inside and out. 2023 will mark the last model year for the Challenger as we know it. It arrives with commemorative plaques, some of the exterior colors from the past as available options, and several special editions. Also, for 2023, the R/T models have a special "345" badge on the front fender to honor its Hemi V-8 engine. Here's a look at the 2023 Dodge Challenger.
Trim Levels
The entry-level SXT comes with 18-inch wheels, keyless entry, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, and halogen headlights. Step up to the GT trim for 20-inch aluminum wheels. The R/T and R/T Scat Pack trim levels feature an optional upgrade package that adds a Shaker hood that pairs with a cold air intake. Elevate the look of the R/T Scat Pack with a bold black stripe on the deck lid. The 2023 Challenger Widebody models have wider performance tires and a bigger fender to house them. Dodge presents the SRT Hellcat in various models for ultimate customization with the Redeye and the Jailbreak.
Engine
The Challenger's engine lineup starts with a 3.6-liter V-6 that puts out 303 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque. The R/T bumps the power up with a 5.7-liter V-8 engine producing 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the Scat Pack uses a 6.4-liter V-8 that churns out 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. For even more force, the Hellcat Jailbreak features a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine with 717 horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The 2023 Dodge Challenger provides outstanding performance across all models with a responsive braking system. Choose from the standard 12.6-inch front vented rotors or the four- or six-piston Brembo brakes. The SRT and R/T Scat Pack models feature several drive modes to enhance the Challenger's driving performance across different terrains, from highways to the racetrack. The ride stays smooth over most roads with vehicle dynamic control technology, offering stability by redistributing torque across the car's wheels.
Interior
There's room for up to five people in the Challenger. The lower trims come with cloth upholstery, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and dual-zone automatic climate control. You'll get steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters in the GT, and upgrading to the SRT Super Stock or various Hellcat trims adds heated front seats. Some tech features for the 2023 Dodge Challenger include the Uconnect infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a six-speaker stereo system. Depending on the trim, an upgraded nine-speaker Alpine stereo or 18-speaker stereo system is available.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Dodge Challenger comes with a Parkview Rear Back-Up Camera and a full suite of airbags. Advanced driver aids are available as part of optional packages depending on the trim. You can get automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control. A blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is also available. Additional safety features you can get with the Challenger include active front head restraints, rain brake support, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
