2022 Ram 2500

The 2022 Ram 2500 is available in seven different trims: Tradesman, Big Horn, Lone Star, Laramie, Power Wagon, Longhorn, and Limited. Aesthetically pleasing upgrades will grace the new Ram 2500, making it sharper and more eye-catching than its predecessors. These upgrades include narrower LED headlights and a larger split grille. Customization options abound due to offering so many trim levels. Many special editions also exist, including the Limited Night Edition. As the name implies, the Limited Night Edition is based on the Limited trim and adds a sportier attitude via additional matte black accents and stylish 20-inch wheels.

The RAM 2500 already has powerful diesel and gasoline engines available, which will continue to be the case for the 2022 model year. Two well-known engine options will be offered as in the past. The base engine is a 6.4-liter V-8 gasoline engine making up to 410 horsepower that is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission along with a cylinder deactivation system.

The high-powered option is the available 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel engine generating 370 horsepower and up to an astounding 850 pound-feet of torque – even more than last year! Also to be added is an all-new 10-speed Allision transmission that would stand to be the most significant improvement of all.

A rear-wheel-drive system is standard, but the all-wheel-drive system will be standard on the Power Wagon variant. The Ram 2500's towing capability is tremendous, and it will once again rival the competition. The 2022 Ram 2500 offers a maximum towing capacity between 10,520 and 15,040 pounds and a payload capacity between 1,564 and 4,012 pounds depending on engine and trim choice.

Seamlessly blending comfort and utility, the 2022 Ram 2500 will build from the exquisite Ram 1500 and benefit from the latest updates and many high-quality items like genuine wood accents and chrome for a premium look. A 12-inch touch screen highlights the enormous center console as standard equipment, offering improved response time and an intuitive, easy-to-use interface. The all-new next-generation Uconnect 5 infotainment system is onboard to allow accessing the settings and information as well as playing music.

Nothing is more important than getting to your destination safely, whether it's for work or play. To that end, Ram has several standard safety and driver assistance features, including outboard front lap and shoulder safety belts with height adjusters and pretensioners, curtain first-row airbags, dual-stage driver, and passenger seat-mounted side airbags, dual-stage driver and passenger front airbags, and side-impact beams. You also get a ParkView backup camera, electronic and roll stability control, airbag occupancy sensor, SiriusXM Guardian emergency SOS, low tire pressure warning, an anti-lock braking system, and driveline traction control.
