New Redesign

The 2022 Grand Cherokee has undergone a full redesign, introducing a new style and list of features compared to the 2021 model’s offerings. Note that the 2021 Grand Cherokee L already sported the new redesign – but the standard body style was the last of the previous generation.


Plug-In Model

The 2022 Grand Cherokee introduces a new plug-in hybrid version called the 4xe — a first for the Jeep SUV. This allows the Grand Cherokee to get up to 57 MPGe. If you choose the standard engine, you'll still get up to 26 MPG on the highway, an impressive amount for this class.


Terrain-Tackling Capacity

Though you can outfit the 2021 Grand Cherokee with a powerful four-wheel-drive system, the 2022 model definitely takes things up a notch. Every 2022 Grand Cherokee equipped with Jeep's famous four-wheel-drive system now also comes standard with a front-axle disconnect — a feature previously limited to the off-roading Trailhawk trim level.
