2021 Jeep Wrangler

With the 2021 Jeep Wrangler, you'll never be at a loss for options. The SUV comes in 12 trims and two body styles — two-door and four-door. Trims include the Sport, Willys Sport, Sport S, Islander, Willys, 80th Anniversary, Altitude, Sahara, Rubicon, Sahara Altitude, High Altitude, and the new 4xe. Every model boasts Jeep's iconic grille, boxy body, and removable doors and roof. Even the base trim comes with rugged features such as skid plates and a Sunrider folding soft top. Move up the trims for a power-folding soft top or hardtop, side steps, rock rails, and model-specific badging.

Jeep offers three engine options for the 2021 Wrangler. The base engine is a Pentastar V-6 that gets 285 horsepower and is available with and without a mild-hybrid eTorque system. A turbocharged four-cylinder with 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque provides faster acceleration. An impressive V-6 diesel engine that produces 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque is also available.

Late in the year, Jeep will reveal its 4xe trim, which will have a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and two electric motors that together generate 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The base engine pairs with a six-speed manual transmission, while all other engines get an eight-speed automatic.

While the Jeep Wrangler is fun to drive and handles well on the pavement, it's renowned for its off-road performance. A long list of adventuring features makes it capable of climbing over obstacles and fording through water. These include skid plates, locking differentials, a transfer case, and full-time four-wheel drive. Any trim will get the job done, but the most off-road-ready model is the Rubicon. You can pull your toys with you, too, as a properly equipped four-door Wrangler can tow up to 3,500 pounds.

The two-door Wrangler has seating for four, and the four-door option accommodates five. Both rows offer comfortable, supportive seating and excellent head and legroom. Opt for the four-door version if it's space you're after. This model provides up to 72.4 cubic feet of cargo room with all the seats folded flat. Many of the Wrangler's interior features are water-resistant, making them easy to clean after a day on the trail.

Jeep equips the Wrangler with its intuitive and responsive Uconnect infotainment system that pairs with a 5-, 7-, or 8.4-inch touch screen. Standard and available tech features include Bluetooth, smartphone connectivity, satellite and HD Radio, a Wi-Fi hot spot, USB ports, navigation, three power outlets, remote start, and a nine-speaker Alpine stereo. The dashboard's knobs and controls are water-resistant, as well.

Drive with confidence on and off the road, thanks to Jeep's suite of safety and driver-assist features. These include a rearview camera, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
