Your diesel engine is a 6.7-liter Cummins turbocharged inline-six that delivers 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. There's also a high-output version of the diesel engine that raises its power levels to 400 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque.

The diesel engines are matched to a six-speed automatic transmission and the gasoline engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic.

Properly equipped with the high-output diesel engine, the 2020 Ram 3500 can tow up to an impressive 35,100 pounds. In addition to pure towing muscle, the 3500 also makes hauling easier with features such as the trailer tire pressure monitor, trailer reverse guide, and the fifth-wheel/gooseneck prep package. The automatically leveling rear air suspension keeps your truck and trailer even by adjusting to changes in the road and load weight shifts. If you have smaller loads, the gasoline V-8 provides a capacity of 7,680-pound.
