2020 Jeep Renegade

Jeep released the 2020 Renegade in four primary trim levels and three limited-edition variants, including Upland, Altitude, and High Altitude. The latter touts unique styling and an available removable sunroof. The base Sport trim launches the lineup, and the next-level Latitude adds multiple wheel and tire combinations from classic to contemporary.

The posh Limited tops the range with styling enhancements like the bold front fascia. Or you could pick the Trailhawk edition when you plan to spend time off the beaten path for free-spirited fun: it's equipped with all-terrain tires and skid plates.

The Renegade comes with either the stock 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that's good for 180 horsepower or the available turbo. This 1.3-liter four-cylinder puts out 177 horsepower and provides quicker acceleration than the base powerhouse. Both engine options pair well with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The 2020 Renegade earns impressive numbers at the pump too, with an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg highway. When you opt for the turbo, get even better fuel economy: 24 city and 32 highway.

The new Renegade offers a comfortable ride over pavement thanks to its precise steering and poised handling. Like you'd expect from a Jeep, it stays quite composed over bumpy roads too. Take this compact SUV off-road and watch it shine. Even the base Sport trim is decked out to tackle rough terrain, while the Trailhawk is designed for it in particular with the available Selec-Terrain system. It has full-time four-wheel drive and when properly equipped, can pull a 2,000-pound trailer loaded with all your camping gear.

There's seating for up to five passengers in Jeep's newest Renegade. Both rows offer generous head-room and leg-room. Cloth upholstered seats are standard, while leather upholstery is available. Move up the trim levels and discover even more optional niceties such as heated front seats and an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat. The well-constructed interior is composed of quality materials and touts a maximum of 50.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats folded flat.

Jeep's standard Uconnect infotainment system features a 5-inch, 7-inch, or 8.4-inch touch screen with voice control, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and a USB port. The system works well – it's straightforward and easy to use. Music lovers may want to add a nine-speaker premium audio system and HD and satellite radio for maximum enjoyment!

Jeep outfitted the 2020 Renegade with a standard rearview camera. Opt for a full suite of advanced safety features from blind-spot monitoring to rear cross-traffic alerts.
